What is the essential function of a Trainer? What is the ultimate responsibility of a Trainer? What must a Trainer be held accountable for?

Insite’s proponents have pondered over the above for a long while. Training now world over is considered as a crucial supporting function. No more is it considered a privilege provided to a workforce employed by top notch companies. The more training is being considered as crucial, organizations and clients are getting serious concerning its results too. Added to this situation, are the very many theories and concepts drawn by experts recommending methods to measure training effectiveness and ROI.

The fundamental question, of what is Insite’s understanding of a Trainer’s responsibility, becomes the foundation platform on which our Train The Trainer Program is built from.

Unfortunately, large number of professionals claiming as Learning Specialists from our experience, lack fundamental insights that would enlighten in realizing what their specific role with the client is. For example, very few can clearly explain the difference between Teaching, Training, Coaching, Counselling, Mentoring and Consulting, when all of the methods inculcate learning in one way or the other, each method has its own significance. The question is how is Training different from all the rest, and what is its specific significance?

We strongly and emphatically contend, that Training, of course, is a method for building competencies in learners, however, Training is the method that focuses on BUILDING SKILLS rather than sharing conceptual knowledge or addressing attitudinal issues. Skills are inculcated in people not by listening and understanding things, but by doing something repeatedly. This is exactly our philosophy of what trainers are expected to do, inculcate SKILLS among learners.
